20 more days in the coolers for Pastor Ssenyonga’s men
Man Jose Kayima Christian Life Church lead Pastor, Jackson Ssenyonga’s henchman Israel Wasswa’s stay in the coolers has been extended for more 20 days. With Judge Adams Byarugaba on leave, the bail ruling session had a new face in Judge Amon Magezi who opted for more time to study the case. “As you know this case has been before my learned colleague, I can’t just give a ruling. I need to consult and go through the details,” Judge Magezi told the court. The Bwaise-based church’s head of security Wasswa and Jamil Mwanda now have to wait until 12th September 2023 to know their fate. At the same justice house, Mwanga II Court last time out, Judge Byarugaba denied Wasswa and Mwanda bail after their sureties identification documents had issues. One had an expired work identity card and the other failed to present on top of their national identity cards plus LC1 letters missing signatures.
